description
Robin’s Plantain ‘Lynnhaven Carpet’ (Erigeron pulchellus var. pulchellus ‘Lynnhaven Carpet’) is a selected form of our native Robin’s Plantain, chosen for its large gray-green foliage and attractive mat-forming habit. It makes an excellent front-of-the-bed plant and durable groundcover that provides year-round presence!
Blooming from April through June, charming daisy-like flowers in shades of white to soft lavender with yellow centers rise on stiff, single stems above the low, 6" tall foliage. The blooms add a light, cheerful touch to spring gardens.
This cultivar performs best in part shade with average to moist, well-drained soil, yet it tolerates drought once established and adapts to a wide range of site conditions. ‘Lynnhaven Carpet’ is especially well-suited for rocky, partially shaded areas where a dependable, evergreen groundcover is needed!
