description

Foamflower (Tiarella cordifolia) is one of the most adorable woodland perennials around! Its neat green, clump-forming habit features semi-evergreen leaves that will gently spread by runners when happy, creating a soft, natural groundcover in shaded gardens.
Blooming from April through May, airy spikes of soft white to blush-pink, star-shaped flowers rise above heart-shaped leaves often marked with subtle purple veining. Foamflower thrives best in part shade to full shade with moist, well-drained soil and does not tolerate drying out.
Tiarella cordifolia provides valuable early-season nectar for pollinators and makes the perfect plant for filling gaps along the front border of a bed, weaving gracefully around neighboring plants and boulders in a woodland setting! Its foliage also provides extended seasonal interest, turning a beautiful bronze shade in the fall.
